Ben was playing with the TOPS Science folk’s “Get a Grip” lentil math kit. We were having a math lab morning and this was one of the stations I’d set up for Faith and Paul. However Ben found it first and was fascinated. Yeah, lentils went everywhere, but it was nothing compared to peanut butter. And, best of all, pouring and measuring kept him happily occupied for a very long time!
Ah, so much fun. While young, my brother and I used to play with dried beans. My grandmother would get out bowls, boxes and baskets and we would happily "cook" for hours. So much fun!!
