Science Wear T-shirts

Ben's t-shirt with glow-in-the-dark moon phases.

A few years ago the kids in our co-op painted "Guts" t-shirts which we purchased from Science Wear.

This company produces t-shirts made for students to paint and the shirts are very, very reasonable! There is a minimum of 12 shirts for each order, but the shirts cost just $5 each plus shipping which brings the cost of a single shirt to just over $6. We needed some smaller sizes than the company normally sells, and they were great in working with us to do that. (There is a limitation in how small they can go through, due to the size of the various imprints.)

Unexpectedly, the owner of the company sent me a Lunar Cycle t-shirt as thanks for writing about our experience with the shirts. (You can read more about our anatomy co-op here.)

I'm embarrassed at how long it took before we got around to trying out the Lunar Cycle shirt, but that's how life goes sometimes. Anyway, Ben enjoyed some time this week reading about astronomy and painting this fun shirt.

So if you have a co-op group working together on science, take a look at the offerings of Science Wear. Maybe you'll find a great end-of-year project!
