A Year At Pleasant Hill Farm: March
New chickabiddies, a sure sign of spring |
Continuing the warm weather trend, March has looked like a typical April and felt more like June. It's been a gorgeous spring thus far.
Last Sunday we sang "Fairest Lord Jesus," and Jody reminded us that as stunning as spring is, its beauty pales to drabness compared with the beauty of the Lord Jesus.
Cherry blossoms |
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Tulips in our front yard |
Fair are the meadows,
Common Blue Violets |
Fairer still the woodlands,
Common (a bit less so) White Violets |
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;
Spring Beauty |
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.
