Kristen had a couple of days off her Purdue classes, so we took a quick trip to the Smokies.

We did a fair amount of hiking on this trip, as usual. It's fun to have older kids. No longer do we carry little children on our backs.Our teens shoulder the bulk of the water and food in the day packs, or when called upon, can ferry a little brother who is wearing out.
