I'm Not Sure Where This Came From...

I was quizzing Benjamin (3) on the verses he has been learning in his Sunday school class.

Me: Honor your father…

Ben: and your mother.

Me: Do all things without…

Ben: Complaining and dis--pu--ting. (Then he points his little finger and starts wagging it.) And don’t touch the cookies!

Every time we learn a verse, we have the kids go around and give examples of what it means to complain, dispute, honor, etc. They sometimes come up with pretty crazy examples, often involving cookies and candy :)
