A Birthday Prayer for Paul Josiah

Today is Paul’s 4th birthday. Just a few months ago Paul put his faith in Jesus. It happened in the context of a reading a Christian book about the wicked practices of the Aztecs. Paul clearly saw the contrast between followers of Jesus Christ and followers of Satan, and he wanted to belong to the One true God. We talked and prayed together, and once again I was thankful for the amazing privilege of being able to teach and train little ones.

This afternoon some of the children and I sang this verse to Paul, and it is my prayer for him today:

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:6)
